Introduction
Packages and bundles are a feature that allows you to group multiple products into a single unit. This can be useful for offering customers complete sets of products at a discounted price (packages) or selling related products together, where the price is calculated based on the individual products (bundles). In this guide, we will go through how to create and manage packages and bundles in Omnium, as well as explain the difference between the two concepts.
Activating packages and bundles
Start by navigating to config → product settings and activate the package and bundle functionality.
Creating a package or bundle
1. Create a new product
- Follow the normal process for creating a product
- Set "is SKU" to true to mark the product as an SKU.
- Fill in the necessary fields, such as SKU ID and product ID.
- Choose whether the product should be a package or a bundle by activating either “is bundle” or “is package”.
Note: All products marked as “is SKU” must have a skuId.
2. Add Components
- Once the product is created, you can start adding components. Components are visible only for packages and bundles.
- Click on edit to add components to the package or bundle.
- Search for a product and click add.
- Specify the quantity for each component to be included in the package or bundle.
- Click "save" once you’ve added all the desired components.
3. Set Prices
- Packages: Set a valid price for the package itself.
- Bundles: Ensure that each component has a valid price.
Product list
All bundles and packages have a package icon next to them in the product list. Use the filter to search specifically for packages and bundles by selecting “Packages.”
