If your organization handles product creation through plugins or external integrations, you can now disable manual product creation by hiding the “New Product” button in the user interface.
Where to find the setting
To disable the button:
Go to Configuration in the main menu.
Navigate to Products
Set Create product disabled to
ON.
When this setting is enabled, the “New Product” button will no longer be visible in the product listing view.
Use cases
This setting is helpful in scenarios where:
Products are created through automated integrations (e.g., a PIM system or ERP).
You want to enforce stricter control over product creation.
You want to prevent accidental or unauthorized product entries.
