Inventory counts can be used to update the stock to the correct amount.
Start by creating a new inventory count under Products > Inventory counts:
There are three ways to update inventory count:
- Search products and enter count
- Scan each item
- Excel import
Search products and enter count
This method support searching for one item at a time or adding a list of SKUs/GTINs.
Not working yet:
You can also add quantity in this step or later on. Use a comma for separating the quantity from the SKU/GTIN.
After clicking search you must remove any products that weren't found before proceeding by clicking Use. The Reset button can be used to start over.
Scan each item
The search bar can be used to scan each item with a handheld device. The count will increase each time a SKU/GTIN is entered.
Excel import
Products and counts can be imported by using the excel import under Import > Import from Excel. The file should be structured with a header which is used to map the fields. The mapping is automatic if the property header matches the name in Omnium.
Checking the results
The deviation will tell how much the stock will change relative to the current stock. The results are visible in the product page after clicking "Update stock", under tab for Inventory and for Inventory transactions.
