Example: The More You Spend, the Bigger the Discount

A percentage step promotion gives customers a larger discount as their spending increases. It’s ideal for motivating customers to add more to their cart, especially within a specific brand or category.

In this example, the campaign gives:

• 10% off when spending over 500 NOK

• 15% off when spending over 1000 NOK

• 20% off when spending over 1500 NOK

Important: The discount applies only to products included in the promotion, not the full cart.

Step-by-Step: Set Up a Percentage Step Discount

1. Go to Orders → Promotions
   
   

2. Click Create
   
   

3. Select Category / brand discount as the promotion type

Fill in Campaign Details

• Name: The more you spend, the bigger the discount

• Description: (optional) Short summary of the campaign

• Valid from / Valid until: Define campaign duration

• Priority: Set priority number (lower = higher priority)

• Markets: Select applicable markets (e.g., Norge)
  
  
  

Define Scope of the Promotion

You control which products the promotion applies to:

• Brands: Only CamelBak is selected

• Excluded categories / brands: Leave empty unless needed

You can also use filters like:

• Season

• Customer groups

• Stores

• Order types

Configure the Discount Logic

In the Reward section:

1. Enable Percentage

2. Enable Percentage steps

Then add the thresholds:

Optional Settings

In the left-hand panel:

• Can be combined: Enable if it should stack with other discounts

• Always apply: Force the discount to apply regardless of other combinations

• Customer club: Restrict to customer club members

• Coupon code: Require manual activation with a promo code

Final Step

Click Save to activate the promotion.

Result:
When a customer buys CamelBak products, the system checks the total cart value (including other items). The discount is applied only to the CamelBak items, based on which threshold the cart total qualifies for.
