Orderprocessing and workflows
Order processing is a collective term for everything that happens from the moment a customer places an order or makes a purchase to when the item(s) are dispatched from the warehouse.
The way order processing is carried out in Omnium is tailored to our customers' individual needs. Since each customer uses different integrations, Omnium customizes order processing with an advanced and adaptable workflow.
An overview of the various workflow steps set up for different types of orders can be found under configuration -> Settings -> Orders -> Order Types -> e.g., Online.
Order statuses
The order will go through various order statuses, and at each of these statuses, it can have several workflow steps. This may include processes such as shipping orders, payment processing, notifying the customer via email of order confirmation, SMS alerts when items are ready for pickup, as well as information on shipping status and similar details.
Within the order interface, you can easily change the order status and simultaneously get an overview of the steps being executed, the result of the status change, and the order's updated new status.
