Disabling notification requirement for customer comments

Functionality overview

It is required to select either SMS or email when adding a comment directed at a customer, such as in an order. 


The isNotificationRequirementDisabledForComments setting allows you to disable this requirement. When enabled, it becomes possible to add comments to the customer without having to choose a notification method. The comment can then be saved without triggering an SMS or email.

This is particularly useful in scenarios where the comment should be visible to the customer through platforms like my pages, without sending a separate notification.

Configuration

To disable the notification requirement, go to:

Configuration → Orders → Properties tab → Comments

Enable disable notification requirement for comments.

Behavior when enabled

  • SMS or email is no longer required when adding a comment to the customer.
     
  • Comments can be saved without sending any notification.
