As default transactional emails are sent without any header and footer, appearing as a blank page. To design the header and footer of your order confirmations and other transactional emails, navigate to the notification templates section and design your own.
Getting started with creating/designing a template for transactional emails
Navigate to Configuration -> Advanced -> Notifications.
Set a template for each market:
-
- Templates are defined for individual markets but can be identical across different markets.
- If you prefer to use the same template for all markets, simply assign the same template to each market.
Create the template
Omnium provides predefined templates that you can use as a starting point.
- Click on the folder icon.
- Click on "Show Demo Content" to view Omnium's predefined templates.
- Select DemoTemplateFramework.json to see an example template.
- Design your template with your preferred layout. Customize the logo and text as desired.
Note: Framework templates for transactional order emails should only contain the "email content" merge tag.
Save the template
-
Click on Edit -> Save As.
- Give the file a name.
- Return to the template tab and select the file/template you just created.
- To apply the template to other markets, select the desired market and add the framework file you have just created to that market's order template for transactional emails.
- Publish the changes.
Adding the framework template to a notification template
You can now go to the transactional email templates and add the framework template to the email notification template.
- Navigate to configuration -> notifications
- Select the wanted order notification
- To add the newly created framework, expand the advanced options within the email settings and select the folder icon.
- Click on the name of the framework.
- Scroll down and click save
Using Framework Templates
- Framework templates for transactional order emails should only contain the "email content" merge tag.
- The template must be specified for each market.
