Adding dynamic fields to prints

Action input fields let users add specific details to individual orders or carts prints. By adding action input fields to your print template, you can ensure that important details are included in your order or cart prints.

How to add action input fields on print templates

1. Navigate to configuration -> advanced -> notification
2. If you have an existing template, open it. If you need to create a new template, follow the instructions here
3. Click on the Advanced button in the top right corner.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Add the wanted action input fields.
   
   
   
   
   
5. Added fields will appear as merge tags. These will get replaced on print.
   
   
   
   
   
   
6. Ensure that you save the updated template.
   
   
   
   
7. Make sure the templates are selected under 'additional templates'. A refresh might be required after this.
   
   

Verify the new fields

To check if the new input fields are available on a print

1. Go to the order list and select an order.
2. Click on Print and choose a template from the list.

3. If the selected template includes action input fields, a modal will appear. Enter the values you want to display on the print.
   
   
   
   
4. The text input you provided will now be visible on the print.
